Composers, who by juried process are selected to participate, must register for EMM. In the future, EMM hopes to eliminate the registration fee altogether and offer a stipend to composers for their creative work. Due to a shoe-string budget, at the moment, this small registration fee helps defray the cost of hosting EMM. Without it, EMM could not exist.

In support of EMM's mission statement, all events are free and open to the public. Audience members are not required to register; however, donations are always welcome. We do not collect donations at the concert, therefore, if you would like to make a financial gift to EMM, please contact Mike McFerron.

In the past EMM has requested that composers submit a registration form with registration fee prior to the festival. This year, since we moved to an online registration form that each composer filled out when they submitted your compositions, additional pre-festival registration seems unnecessary.

As stated in the original call for scores, each composer is required to remit a $40 registration fee. Upon arrival at EMM in October, composers should check-in with the registration desk located in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center at KCKCC to pay the registration fee and collect a festival information packet. Payment can be in the form of cash or personal check. EMM will provide a receipt at that time for those who need documentation for reimbursement.
